When I found out that Dan was asked to review Blitzen Trapper for The House List, I begged him to let me tag along to shoot it. We’ve both loved the band (and especially their song “Furr”) since they first got together, and it had always been a dream to see them in person. Their act alone topped out at close to two hours and covered every song I was hoping to hear, so I can officially cross Blitzen Trapper off my bucket list. After a 13 year break, the Afghan Whigs are back! Dan jumped at the chance to finally see one of his favorite bands perform live and brought me along to shoot it for Bowery Presents. The entire show was back lit, which made my job pretty tough, but it was great to finally see these legends perform live. See some additional photos below that didn’t make it onto The House List:
