Not too long ago Dan started a new gig with GoRadio.com, an awesome internet radio project that has four seperate channels with accompanying lifestyle blogs. The team is really creative and loves generating fresh ideas for their audience, so when one of his colleagues pitched the idea of Photoshopping the always-somber electronic music producer Skrillex into everyday settings, I was tapped to make the magic happen.
Since I usually have to retouch people, skin, faces, etc. to make them look flawless, I fully embraced the chance to create quirky graphics that will make people laugh. I definitely couldn’t stop smiling during the entire process, and looking back at them now cracks me up. Some of my favorite are below, but check out here and here for the original versions (and more Skrilly!).

On Memorial Day weekend my boyfriend’s sister and her fiancé officially tied the knot in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Rockport, Massachusetts. I was lucky enough for them to ask me to design their wedding invitations, RSVP cards and programs for the big day, and we worked together to ensure I created something they both loved. While out shopping with the bride-to-be, Katie, for shoes one day, she showed me the colors of her bridesmaids dresses. It was a discontinued color — Capri, from David’s Bridal — but I was able to get a screen shot of it from their site before they updated it and used it as the base color of all three items I designed to have a consistent theme tie them all together.
The very top image is the official wedding invitation, which has edges that bleed but were cropped so there was a crisp white border surrounding the main color block, but with just a bit of the flowers spilling over. Directly above is the RSVP card, which has many of the same consistent elements. Since Katie and Travis have a good sense of humor, I was able to make the RSVP card a bit fun and not as stiff as traditional wedding ceremonies may call for.
Below are some select photographs and the program of the official day:
