Rivas provides tips for excelling in court reporting

The Burlington Times-News court reporter Keren Rivas talked to Janna Anderson’s Reporting for the Public Good class at Elon University on Oct. 6 about covering crimes, courts and government.

She spoke extensively about how to carefully handle covering these types of stories, since they are atypical from the standard news story and require an extra touch.
